Need advise on optometrist & progressive lens

Can anybody share their experience with Dr Stephanie Brooks of Pacific EyeDoctor in Dunbar area? I think I remember that she used to be with Dr Patricia Rupnow on West 10th Avenue (I may be wrong). I went to Dr Rupnow and had not a chance to see her. I now changed to another optometrist.

Also, I need to have my first progressive lens, but I could not find anything that does not make me feel dizzy... And they are ridiculously expensive (> $500!!).

Any ideas, suggestions, opinions on those two isues above are appreciated.
